MultiStar filter units now with EW 90 fire safety certificate!

As the required security clearance for a filter system to a building with non-fire walls is 5 metres, we have decided to subject our MultiStar filter systems to a fire safety inspection.

The system successfully passed the test on 1 March 2012 at the MPA (Max Planck Institute) in Dresden. In the test, the sheet metal of the unit was exposed to flames from several large burners in a furnace chamber at 660 degrees for 95 minutes. On the other side the radiant heat may not have exceeded 15 kW/m² at a distance of 1 metre.

The EW 90 fire safety inspection confirmed that filter systems with these properties may be attached to a building up to 1 metre away without having to provide for additional fire protection measures.
